Supporting universities to enhance the student experience through first-rate accommodation and learning facilities, while reducing their carbon footprint and energy bills
Equans works with university estates across the country to deliver new build, refurbishment, retrofit, facilities management, smart building solutions and low carbon energy technologies; as well as taking equity stakes in the projects we deliver.
Our ambition is to work collaboratively with our partners to enrich the student experience, offer state-of-the-art learning and leisure facilities and support with driving down carbon emissions.
There are almost 200 university estates across the UK and on average, they are spending about a fifth of their total property costs on energy. With a nationwide target of reaching net zero carbon by 2050, universities have less than 30 years to decarbonise and Equans is primed to support these goals become a reality.
We’ve been really lucky to be working with Equans on this project, and they have been great to work with – not just on the build, but also in terms of their willingness to support tours and to support learning with our students.
