Equans is responsible for providing a repairs and maintenance service to more than 110,000 homes across the UK, undertaking 435,000 repairs every year. We provide a 24/7/365 call centre, responding to more than 100,000 calls each year, including calls from residents, emergency repair requests, works order queries and customer feedback. It’s a huge responsibility and one we take seriously.

We understand that residents want their repairs to be carried out quickly, conveniently and properly. We specialise in working in occupied properties with delivery teams that are trained in customer care and our approach to service delivery always focuses on minimal disruption to customers.

We have invested in an operational management system that has been tailored to suit our business and client requirements. This robust system manages the journey of a repair from start to finish, to ensure that we maximise efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction. Linked to the operative’s handheld mobile technology, the system communicates live operational and commercial information needed to complete repairs right 'first time’ and on time.

Our planned maintenance teams undertake a varied range of small-scale refurbishment projects, specialising for example, in one-off projects and dispersed housing stock.
We have clear and concise objectives when carrying out any works for our customers and ensure our works are delivered in a professional, safe and efficient manner.
Our specialist adaptations team provides flexible tailored solutions for elderly and disabled people including the installation of hoists, rails and ramps; bathroom and bedroom conversions, remodelling of dwellings and installing visual aids.
We complete more than 700 adaptation projects every year for Yorkshire Housing, Newcastle City Council, Leeds Federated Housing Association and Leeds City Council.
Equans is leading UK gas service provider. Our delivery solution includes:
- A three and five star service for domestic gas appliances, including gas safety checks and issuing of landlords gas safety records
- A 24/7/365 fully comprehensive servicing and repairs service
- Maintaining CO detectors and smoke alarms
- Maintain commercial, solid fuel, LPG and oil-fired central heating systems through national subcontractor framework
- Carrying out turn on and tests for voids
- Emergency out of hours service
- Replacement of gas fires, boilers and heating
- Carry out water testing and treatment in accordance with ACoP L8 through our subcontractor partners
Our specialist teams offer an end-to-end solution for void properties.
We complete the clearing, cleaning, repairs and refurbishment of over 10,000 void properties per annum, operating a key-to-key approach, coordinating surveys, security, all works and trades required, certification, EPC’s, detailed property prospectuses and asset data.
Throughout the process we focus on helping our clients to minimise rent loss whilst improving and enhancing their properties, incorporating energy efficiency and aesthetic improvements to create better homes for future residents.
