As companies, we must reimagine our business models to support all aspects of the drive to a greener, sustainable world. At EQUANS, aside from our own actions on climate, we also take seriously our role as an enabler for many of our customers in their own journey to net zero.
By combining our specialist activities we are helping public and private sector organisations make the transition to net zero carbon. We are lowering customer emissions by implementing on-site renewables and energy efficiency measures. We are decarbonising heat in buildings by installing heat pumps and operating our low carbon district energy networks. We are also assisting the expansion of green mobility, with the rollout of EV charging solutions nationwide.
EQUANS is committed to continuing this essential work and mobilising the skills and expertise necessary to support the level of progress required - both now and in the crucial years to come.
Our Commitments to Net Zero
Our Net Zero Target
As part of the global ENGIE Group, together with our 170,000 employees, customers, partners and stakeholders, we are already committed to accelerating the transition towards net zero. The Group has the goal of achieving net zero carbon for scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions by 2045.
Delivering a Net Zero Fleet by 2028
The transition to zero emission transport is an increasingly important part of securing global net zero. As part of our plan to reach net zero, we have switched over 20% of our fleet to EVs, with a longer-term commitment to deliver zero tailpipe emissions by 2028.
A Certified Leader in Sustainability Management
EQUANS was recently awarded a Platinum EcoVadis rating for the second consecutive year. The award is an independent endorsement putting EQUANS in the top one percent of companies assessed by EcoVadis. It demonstrates our commitment to sustainability management and gives confidence to our current and future partners that EQUANS continues to lead the way in sustainability management and has the expertise and experience to add value to their performance.
EQUANS is also one of just five companies in the FM sector to have achieved Platinum status in the Sustainable FM Index (SFMI). Run by Acclaro Advisory, the SFMI considers a wide range of criteria, across environmental, social and governance areas, in assessing the overall sustainability performance of FM service providers.
