Route to decarbonisation

Formerly a commercial laundrette, the development is based on the edge of the Durham Conservation area.

EQUANS was appointed by County Properties to deliver the revolutionary scheme which promises a full lifestyle offer for residents.

All rooms are self-contained with their own integrated kitchen, large bed, wardrobe, study desk and en-suite bathroom.  

The eco-friendly facility encourages health and wellbeing throughout, with cycle storage and carefully considered communal space which aims to inspire collaboration and stimulate interaction among those who live there.

Result

Built across six attractive blocks, the new facility reached Outstanding rating under Building Research Establishment Environment Assessment Method (BREEAM).
