Equans and investor Equitix have formed a long-term partnership with the University of Birmingham to provide world-class facilities for its staff and students.

First phase completes at Pritchatts Park

New low-carbon accommodation and a revitalised social hub has been unveiled at the University of Birmingham as the first phase of a £200million project completes.

Students arriving at Pritchatts Park for the new academic year will be the first to live in the new and purpose-built and refurbished rooms powered by some of the latest tech – including solar PV panels and air source heat pumps powered entirely from renewable sources.

Pritchatts House, on the same site, has been transformed and contains a bright and lively social hub where students can access support, relax and enjoy their downtime.

Equans, Equitix and the University of Birmingham are equity stakeholders in Pritchatts Park demonstrating our long-term commitment to the facilities.

Equans will also manage a 50-year hard and soft facilities management and lifecycle works contract at Pritchatts Park. Six further new-build accommodation blocks will be handed over to the University in the near future. Equans works collaboratively with its partners to enrich the student experience, offer state-of-the-art learning and leisure facilities and support with driving down carbon emissions.
