We have the skills, experience and knowledge to help tackle one of the greatest challenges local authorities will face in a generation.
Our approach provides a faster, more responsible route to net zero communities
Our place-based decarbonisation model tackles the many facets of large-scale climate action head-on.
Tested and proven across the UK, it provides a structure which helps local authorities realise the opportunities of net zero and offers a place-based approach to decarbonisation. Which, in return, protects and develops local communities, making them more resilient against the effects of our changing climate.

A proven approach to place-based decarbonisation
We have the experience, depth of knowledge and resources to deliver large-scale, decarbonisation projects that are already making a difference.
Our connected and systematic approach is unlocking the potential of energy, infrastructure, transport, buildings and people for local authorities across the UK. It goes beyond decarbonisation to address critical issues such as fuel poverty, housing quality and social cohesion.
- 1. Prepare
We help our partners identify the places where the biggest differences can be made. Then engage with the people, partners and communities we intend to shape. Understanding the area and what shapes it.
- 3. Delivery
With our expertise across all facets of sustainable decarbonisation, we are trusted across the UK to deliver a range interconnected programmes of works that are all focused on the key goals.
- 2. Strategy
Designed around the place, and what can be improved, adapted or replaced, we create a strategy with clearly defined roadmap and goals.
- 4. Impact
Continual evaluation and adjustments to our strategy deliver better social, economic and environmental outcomes for our partners and communities.
Our four interconnecting solutions are designed to deliver lasting change

We create a whole system approach designed around the place - and the infrastructure that already exists. Delivered in a technology-agnostic way, we are able to implement a range of solutions to provide a faster more responsible route to net zero.
For each element of the decarbonisation journey, a different form of funding exists.
Using our experience of the market, we’ve mapped out every possible funding opportunity. Allowing us to blend these into a single proposition that can lower the need for stakeholder capital and meet risk constraints.
Current procurement models are often guilty of overlooking the economic, environmental and social issues that drive real change.
Our experience in legal and commercial innovation allows us to build new forms of government and private-sector partnerships. Creating different models that are easy to implement and focus on unlocking the value and realising the true place-wide ambitions.
We know delivering lasting social impact is everyone’s priority.
Our unique range of tools and processes make sure social impact is planned, designed and implemented into the heart of our large-scale decarbonisation projects. Maximising every opportunity and ensuring the true value is retained within the place and community.
