Equans partners with Anchor to deliver energy efficiency improvements to Scarborough homes

Equans has successfully completed energy efficiency upgrades to homes across Scarborough on behalf of Anchor, England’s largest not-for-profit provider of specialist housing and care for people in later life.

These improvements were made possible thanks to funding secured through the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF).

Quote from Neil Warburton,

“I’m really pleased to see how Equans and Anchor have been working in partnership on this scheme, to deliver benefits for residents and the environment. Our dedicated Resident Liaison team has worked tirelessly to ensure that all those whose homes are being worked on are comfortable and always informed. Thanks to the SHDF and true collaboration between all parties, residents are benefitting from more efficient and more comfortable homes for years to come.”
Neil Warburton, Director of Regeneration and Sustainability at Equans

Quote from Liz Davenport,

"As part of Anchor’s long-term sustainability strategy and in line with Government targets, we need to ensure all our rented properties reach an Energy Performance Certificate of C or above by 2030. “This programme of works plays a key role in delivering on net-zero carbon targets and reducing carbon emissions. Energy efficiency works continue across the country, and we are aiming to complete projects at four Anchor locations in the Northwest and Midlands regions before March 2025.”
