Apprenticeships underline Equans’ commitment to supporting young people in the North East & Cumbria

Equans has taken on eight new apprentices in a variety of trade and office roles, as the company looks towards strengthening the future of its workforce.

For the first time in its apprenticeship recruitment process, Equans held an ‘Apprentice Assessment Centre’ event in South Shields, giving dozens of applicants the opportunity to find out more about the business and take part in team building tasks.

Apprentices are an invaluable addition to the business, and more often than not are able to progress their careers within Equans. I’m personally delighted to see eight of our new recruits raring to go and looking forward to starting their career journeys with us. “To have what will soon be four female apprentices joining the team is also a massive positive. As a business, Equans is committed to encouraging more women into the industry and providing as many opportunities as possible for women as we look towards our workforce being gender balanced.
