Guaranteed Interview Scheme
At Equans, we are committed to creating an inclusive recruitment process and are proud to be a Disability Confident Level 2 employer.
Where a vacancy is covered by the scheme, we guarantee an offer of an interview to disabled applicants who:
- meet the minimum essential criteria stated in the job advert; and
- choose to apply through the Guaranteed Interview Scheme.
The minimum essential criteria will be clearly identified in each relevant job advert. The scheme does not guarantee a job offer; candidates will be assessed fairly against the requirements of the role.
Who can apply through the scheme?
You may be eligible if you have a physical or mental impairment that has a long-term and substantial impact on your ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities. This can include non-visible disabilities, long-term health conditions, neurodivergence and mental health conditions.
You do not need to have a formal diagnosis or provide medical evidence to use the scheme. If you are unsure whether you are eligible, you can still select the scheme and discuss this with our recruitment team.
How your information will be used
When you select the Guaranteed Interview Scheme, the information you provide will be used only to:
- assess whether the scheme applies to your application.
- offer a guaranteed interview where you meet the minimum essential criteria; and
- provide any recruitment support or reasonable adjustments you request.
Your information will be treated confidentially and accessed only by authorised colleagues or recruitment partners who need it for these purposes. Further information is available in our Privacy Notice here.
Guaranteed interview and reasonable adjustments
Choosing the Guaranteed Interview Scheme is separate from requesting reasonable adjustments.
You can:
- apply through the Guaranteed Interview Scheme without requesting adjustments.
- request reasonable adjustments without applying through the scheme; or
- choose both options.
You are not required to disclose a disability to request adjustments. Adjustments can be requested at any stage of the recruitment process by reaching out to our teams on the following email address: recruitment.uk@equans.com.
