What is a heat network?
Heat Networks are widely recognised as a sustainable, cost-effective solution for the provision of heating, cooling for homes and businesses.
These systems typically comprise energy centres to generate and supply renewable heat to a network of underground pipes, which in turn connect to the heating and hot water systems in each property, thus removing the need for individual boilers. When powered by renewable & low carbon technologies including heat pumps, waste recovery systems and on-site energy storage, heat networks are a very effective solution for the decarbonisation of heating.
