We’re delighted that you’ll be joining us for the Equans Charity Evening, in partnership with Become, on 19th November 2026.
We look forward to welcoming you to Events @ No 6, London, E1 8QT, from 18:30 to 23:00 for an evening of personal stories, fundraising activities, delicious food and engaging entertainment.
Charitable participation are entirely voluntary and have no bearing on any current or future commercial relationship with Equans.
Hosts
Martin Dowd, Energy Construction Director, Equans UK & Ireland
Martin Dowd is Energy Construction Director at EQUANS UK & Ireland, specialising in the delivery of renewable and low-carbon energy infrastructure. His experience spans more than 30 years in construction, including 20 years in renewables, with expertise across utility-scale Solar PV, battery energy storage, energy centres, grid connections and associated electrical infrastructure.
Martin combines technical and construction expertise with commercial and operational leadership, overseeing projects from development and pre-construction through delivery, commissioning and handover. His experience includes EPC and ICP delivery, DNO and customer substations, and the coordination of clients, landowners, designers and project teams.
He is passionate about developing practical, high-quality energy solutions that support the transition to net zero and deliver lasting value for customers.
Laura Kavanagh, Chartered Project Director, Equans UK & Ireland
Laura is a Chartered Project Director at Equans and an experienced leader in the delivery of renewable energy and infrastructure projects across the UK and Europe. With expertise spanning contract management, multi-site construction and major programmes from feasibility to commissioning, Laura brings a strategic, results-focused approach to complex project delivery. Her experience includes capital investment due diligence, risk assessment and portfolio-level budget forecasting, helping organisations achieve sustainable growth and long-term asset performance.
She is passionate about building high-performing multidisciplinary teams and bringing together construction, engineering, procurement, legal and investment stakeholders to turn ambitious energy strategies into successful outcomes.

Claire-Marie Savarimuthu, Social Value Officer, Equans UK & Ireland
At the charity evening, Claire will share her experience of Become’s support, the opportunity created through its partnership with Equans and how that journey has shaped the work she does today - demonstrating the lasting impact that strong partnerships can achieve.
Claire is a Social Impact Officer at Equans and has recently completed a master’s degree in criminology, focusing on environmental harm and humanity’s relationship with the environment. Through Equans’ partnership with Become, which supports care leavers transition into work, Claire was recruited into her current role.
Driven by a passion for sustainability and social issues across diverse communities, Claire now works with operational teams to develop and deliver social value initiatives that create a meaningful impact in the communities where Equans operates.
Will Robinson, Head of Fundraising, Become
At the charity evening, he will introduce Become and its Propel into Work programme, highlight the impact Equans and Become have achieved together, and look ahead to what Become hopes to accomplish with the support of partnerships like this one.
Will Robinson is Head of Fundraising at Become, where he has worked for 7 years. Motivated by kindness, empowerment and social justice, he leads the strategic direction of Become’s public and corporate fundraising, working with his team to cultivate and champion corporate partnerships like Equans that help create a better society for care-experienced young people.

The newly built venue, which is also the premises of The Royal College of Pathologists, is located in the heart of the City - just a short walk from Aldgate and Aldgate East tube stations.

Events @ No 6 is located within the headquarters of the Royal College of Pathologists. Signage will direct you to our event when you arrive.
Please register at the welcome desk. A cloakroom is available on Level -1, one floor below the ground floor.

Fundraising information
Equans is funding the cost of hosting the evening, so your contribution will go directly to BECOME. The auction and raffle provide optional opportunities to give more on the night.
Corporate and Prize Donations
Corporate donations are capped at £1,000 in total, including cash donations on the justgiving page and the value of any raffle prizes. Individual donations are capped at £250; this limit excludes the individual purchase of raffle tickets and bids during the silent auction.
A corporate prize donation of £1,000 or less is therefore within the guidance, provided the total corporate donations do not exceed £1,000. Individuals attending the event are welcome to make a personal donation on the evening.
