Scope of Work

EQUANS was appointed as the lead constructor for 61 energy efficient homes and apartments by the Middlesbrough Development Company and development managers Bright Ideas, with support from Homes England.

EQUANS is delivering six three-bedroom and 10 two-bedroom houses, as well as 45 two-bedroom apartments made up of three blocks of 15.

Route to decarbonisation

To make the new homes as energy efficient as possible, EQUANS is working with its partners to ensure every new house will be heated entirely by Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP).

ASHPs absorb heat from the air to warm homes and provide hot water, while using minimal amounts of electricity to power the pump.  

Result

Future residents at the Boho Village development will now benefit from lower energy bills and a reduced carbon footprint, thanks to lower emissions than a standard gas boiler.
