The Public Sector Low Carbon Skills Fund can provide vital funding for public sector bodies to access the skills and expertise to unlock heat decarbonisation projects across their estates.
Phase 4 of the scheme opens on 26 April at 2pm and will provide up to £17 million of grant funding for the financial year 2023 to 2024.
How can Equans help?
From the initial application through to producing robust Heat Decarbonisation Plans (HDPs), Equans can help you every step of the way in developing your decarbonisation strategy. We can support you to undertake building audits and feasibility studies, identify cost-effective projects and formulate into a deliverable plan to decarbonise your estate.
The funding secured and work delivered through the Low Carbon Skills Fund can then be used to apply for capital project funding under the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS), which requires commercially and technically robust information to access this project funding.
Through Phase 2 of the Low Carbon Skills Fund, Equans delivered a HDP on behalf of Excalibur Academies Trust, which identified viable projects and a delivery plan. Subsequently we helped the Trust to secure significant funding under PSDS Phase 3 and project delivery is underway.
