Flagship training facility handed over to the Humberside Engineering Training Association in North East Lincolnshire
Equans staff on the North East Lincolnshire services contract met with staff at Humberside Engineering Training Association Ltd (HETA) last week to officially hand over the keys to their spacious new training facility on Pioneer Park, Stallingborough.
The scheme, which started on site in October, completed in July and the first cohort of 70 learners are already signed up to start training on 21 August.
The modern, two-storey centre will provide North East Lincolnshire’s next generation of engineers the perfect facility to learn their trade; with modern workshops, specialist technical classrooms and traditional learning spaces on-site.
With engineering roles being in high demand across North East Lincolnshire, the site also boasts the potential to expand further into its three-acre plot on the new Pioneer Technical Park in Stallingborough to accommodate future requirements.
Working with HETA’s incumbent designer, Morgan Lloyd Jones Architects, the Equans team managed the scheme through planning and procurement as well as supervising the on-site delivery of the works from initial design through to handover.
Emina Zelihic, Architect at Equans and Project Manager of the works said “It’s great to be able to hand over HETA’s new building, completed and ready to welcome classes next month. This site will provide a real boost to education and training in the area and we are very proud to have been so keenly involved in its development.”
