Equans retains its position as a top sustainable FM company
Equans has retained its Platinum status in the Sustainable FM Index (SFMI), the only sustainability benchmark for the UK FM sector. It is the seventh year that Equans’ UK business has been recognised by the sustainability benchmark.
Run by Acclaro Advisory, the SFMI considers a wide range of criteria, across environmental, social and governance areas, in assessing the overall sustainability performance of FM service providers. Crucially, it also enables FM providers to embed sustainability in the management and operation of their contracts, thereby meeting the growing demand from FM clients to see sustainability integrated into the service delivery.
Commenting on the status, SFMI Programme Director Sunhil Shah said: “Equans has undergone a period of significant transformation in the past year and has continued to successfully embed ESG across its business and operations to retain a Platinum rating for the year 2022.”
Keith Murphy, Equans UK & Ireland SHEQ and RB Director commented: “The award of Platinum status to Equans UK & Ireland in the Sustainable FM Index award for yet another year says everything about our commitment to the Responsible Business agenda. As one of six companies in the sector to be awarded this highest accolade, it demonstrates to our stakeholders that we continue to deliver tirelessly and with real purpose on our Responsible Business agenda through our IMPACT Manifesto.”
