Equans to deliver decarbonisation of 500 homes across London for Notting Hill Genesis
Equans, has been appointed by housing association Notting Hill Genesis to decarbonise over 500 homes in London.
The project, which is funded by the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF), will see Equans working in partnership with Notting Hill Genesis to retrofit and improve properties across all 32 of London’s boroughs - creating more efficient and sustainable housing.
The two-year project will commence in October 2023, and will see the properties benefit from a comprehensive decarbonisation retrofit programme. Efficiency upgrades such as insulation, new windows and doors and draught proofing will be made, alongside new energy efficient boilers, better ventilation, solar panels and other cost saving measures. The programme aims to achieve a minimum EPC rating of C to all properties through a ‘Fabric First’ approach.
“ We are pleased to be able to use our expertise on this project with Notting Hill Genesis to upgrade people’s homes, making them more energy efficient, sustainable and improving the quality of living. Having a home that is well insulated and with better heating appliances means that bills are likely to be lower, so it will help to tackle fuel poverty as well. ”
