Waste heirarchy

We follow the waste hierarchy of reduce, reuse, recycle.

Diversion from landfill

At the heart of our approach is our commitment to diverting 100% of waste from landfill. We offer scheduled collections and establish appropriate collection schedules, which are programmed into our CAFM system.

Regular reporting

We provide monthly reports detailing the volume and weight of waste materials collected.

Reactive collections

Reactive collections are planned through our CAFM system. Requests are monitored and if there are continual requests of the same nature then we work with local managers to adjust the service accordingly.

Auditing

We undertake regular ‘Duty of Care’ waste disposal audits and assessments.

Waste containers

We provide UN approved waste containers which are kept in good repair. These are kept in secure storage areas and allow waste to be segregated.

Our range of in-house services meet or exceed environmental legislation, and through our waste partners we are able to manage all of your recycling and general waste needs, as well as any specialist service requirements you may have, such as confidential waste, hazardous waste or healthcare waste.

Innovative solutions: We have successfully introduced macerators for food waste disposal which have a biodigester capable of digesting up to 180kg of food waste in any 24-hour period. The resulting grey water can then be flushed to drains and sewer systems where it presents no risk of blockage.

Specialist waste management solutions We have considerable experience of offering specialist waste services such as the disposal of biohazardous waste, clinical waste and secure and confidential waste. We follow the Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011 derived from the EU Waste Framework Directive.
