A trusted electric vehicle charging partner to many local authorities
The West Yorkshire Combined Authority: A case study
EQUANS partnered with the West Yorkshire Combined Authority to deliver an innovative £3m scheme which included the installation of 88 charge points, all powered by 100% renewable energy. The project included £2m investment from the Office of Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV), plus match funding of £1.2m from the district councils.
EQUANS also provided project investment and free charging at all charging points for the first two years, as a further incentive for residents and business users. Efficient delivery has allowed 94 chargers to be delivered within the original budget for 88 and the scheme has seen huge successes, with over 11 million free miles provided to drivers since the launch in 2019.
Bromsgrove District Council: A case study
Bromsgrove District Council selected EQUANS as the preferred partner to deliver 13 public rapid chargers across the district, to support Bromsgrove’s Ultra Low Emission Strategy. EQUANS provided Bromsgrove-registered taxi drivers with free charging for the first year, with further substantial discounts offered for the next 9 years.
Bromsgrove selected EQUANS based on the ability to provide accessible charging, including contactless access, as well as extensive charge point management and reporting capabilities.
