What are the opportunities offered by Equans to grow in a profession?
We actively encourage people to progress in our organisation. If, for example, you have aspirations to be an electrician then we would encourage you to start as a general maintenance operative and we will offer, through your annual review, professional development opportunities including training and apprenticeships.
Training, development and upskilling activities are delivered through a tried and tested five-point methodology and all job roles are mapped to a training community of the Learning Management System. This then feeds into a training matrix.
We will ensure that your training needs are met via our Academy, which provides a ‘one stop shop’ for everything learning-related and brings together a wealth of training from across the business: be it face-to-face or via our e-learning platforms. A Talent and Succession plan for each member of staff records where employees want to progress their careers and supports any training they may require.
Sustainability Track Record
Equans has unparalleled experience and expertise in sustainability and net zero carbon transition. Not only in the way that we manage our own company but also how we help our clients achieve their own sustainability aspirations.
At University of Cambridge we are providing green energy, reducing consumption and helping to achieve a zero-carbon estate. All staff on the University of Cambridge contract will have a role to play in improving energy efficiency and decarbonisation, as well as addressing wider environmental issues.
